In a low-scoring tilt between the Fremont Marshalls and the Nashville Lasers, Adam Monteleone, who leads the SC in complete games with 1, was the difference-maker. The Fremont right-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. The defeat makes Nashville 20-16.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Marshalls had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when center fielder Josh Napier hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Chris Rumrill and made the score 2-0, Marshalls. Napier went 1 for 3.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Monteleone said.
