Ruiz goes 3-for-3 to Fuel Stampede Offense
Behind the hitting of Jesus Ruiz, the Lubbock Stampede stopped the Laredo Ghosts, 5-3. Ruiz went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Stampede. Mike Maschke got the win, improving to 4-2. He held the Ghosts to 3 runs on 5 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 3. Lubbock is now 22-14, 2½ games up in the Stars Conference West Division.

The Stampede got a big at-bat from designated hitter Joe Ortiz. For the game, Ortiz went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
