The Quebec Aces scooped up a win at Turtles Ballpark, dumping the Montreal Royals, 6-1. Curtis Gring, who is tied for 7th in the SC in quality starts with 4, was essential to his team's success. The Aces improved their record to 17-19 with the win over Montreal.

Justin Moralez went 2-5 with 2 singles for Quebec. The 24-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the fourth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring single off Stephen Stride. It was his 37th hit of the season.

"Curtis's not intimidated by who's stepping into the batter's box," said Quebec manager Matt Blade.
