Lasers Earn 4-3 Win Versus Mad Ants
The timely hitting of Maurice Easter helped the Nashville Lasers down the Portland Mad Ants, 4-3. Easter was 2-3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Lasers. The winner was Nashville reliever Eugene Ricci, now 2-0. The loser was Dane Roberts. Nashville raised its record to 21-15 with the win.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Nashville trailing 3-2, Easter jumped on a cutter from 23-year old left-handed pitcher Dane Roberts and hit a 2-run home run to right. With one swing, the Lasers had a walk-off win.
