The Laredo Ghosts beat the Quebec Aces, 11-4, at Belmont Park. Laredo first baseman Brent Hauke had an outstanding performance. He was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Vasco Toto earned the save for Laredo, his 1st. Laredo sits in last place in the Stars Conference West Division at 12-19.

Laredo used the timely hitting of Tony Martinez to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Ghosts on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Martinez told the Laredo Daily. "It's as simple as that."
