In a well-pitched game between the Portland Mad Ants and the Lubbock Stampede, pitcher Rodrigo Izquierdo was fantastic. The Portland right-hander helped his team secure the win, 3-0. Rich Wilkinson nailed down his 7th save. Portland is now 15-14. Lubbock is 16-13.

Pat Kirchner had a direct impact on the outcome. Kirchner contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put Portland up, 2-0.
