The Laredo Ghosts picked up a win at Ghosts Ballpark, knocking off the Hartford Matadors, 4-3. Starting pitcher Andy Firkins played a key role in the triumph. Butch Saulters earned the save, his 8th. The win puts the Ghosts at 13-16, while the Matadors drop to 18-11.

Laredo took a 4-3 lead on Ryan Perry's 1st double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Perry hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Hartford pitcher Chris Runte shaking his head.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Hartford manager Jesse Heugly. "The effort was great."
