Kelly, Mad Ants Too Much for Ghosts
The 8-4 Portland win over Laredo was due in large part to Josh Kelly. The Mad Ants shortstop was 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Portland goes to 17-10 with the win.

Left Fielder Rick Brown made an impact for Portland, when he swatted a 2-run double off Byron Stanton in the bottom of the fifth. For the contest, Brown was 2-2 with 2 doubles and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3.

"This isn't football or hockey where you can overwhelm your opponents," Kelly told the Portland Daily News. "Everyone gets 27 outs and we happened to make the most of them."
