Stephen Stride had a strong outing for the Montreal Royals against the Baxter Springs Marshals at Marshals Ballpark. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 2-0 win. Stride got the win, improving to 3-1. He gave up 3 hits and walked 1 over 7 innings. He allowed no runs. Jonathan Marquina closed the game out for Montreal, earning his 6th save.

Ryan Swift came through with a big-time hit for Montreal. The pinch hitter smacked a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 1-0. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
