Lasers Need Extra Frames to Get Past Matadors
The Nashville Lasers defeated the Hartford Matadors, 6-4, in 10 innings in Stars Conference action at Ballpark of Tacoma. Nashville pitcher Eugene Ricci had a standout performance. Nashville reliever Luke Getts got the win, raising his record to 1-1. Ken Yates was tagged with the loss. Tom Herzing sewed up the save, his 8th.

Nashville used a timely hit from Jamie Bender to get the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Lasers ahead, 6-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.

"Big win," said Bender.

With the loss, Hartford falls to 11-12.
