The bats were silent much of the day at Ballpark of Tacoma. But 22-year old center fielder Brian Brockman produced just enough offense to carry the Matadors past the Nashville Lasers, 2-1. Brockman was 2 for 3 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Ryan Barmore notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 3 innings. His record now sits at 1-0. Nashville drops to 14-8.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With no one out, Brockman hit a fastball from Luke Getts for a solo home run. The Matadors, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"I think we all put in a good day's work," said Brockman.
