|
The performance of Jordan Torres proved critical in helping Joilet beat Portland, 6-3. The Jesters left fielder went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The win puts Joilet at 10-12.
Torres contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Joilet in the top of the third. With his team trailing 2-1, Torres took a changeup from Isiah Key and stroked the home run to right-center. His 3rd home run of the season allowed the Jesters to leap in front, 3-2.
"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Jesters manager Hermenegildo Fernando.
