Tailgators Hope Win Turns Around Slow Start
|
Dylan Diggs pitched well, but his team, the Glendale Muskies, still dropped a 3-2 decision to the Chesapeake Tailgators at Field of the Muskies. Eric Sawyer, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 3rd save. The win has Chesapeake at 8-14.
Chesapeake used a well-timed hit by T.J. Arnold to capture the win. The second baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Tailgators ahead, 3-1. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
"Tough loss," said Glendale manager Jermaine Allen. "But we'll learn from it."
