Aces Rally For Late Win Over Lasers
|
Quebec second baseman Corey Mills had a 3-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Nashville Lasers, 3-1. Quebec reliever Jeremiah Porter snagged the win, upping his record to 1-0. David Caldwell shouldered the loss. Mauricio Martinez earned the save for Quebec, his 5th of the year.
Had Mills not come through in the bottom of the eighth, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Mills hit a 2-run home run. The Aces took the lead, 3-1, and never looked back.
"Just glad I could help us get a win," said Mills.
The loss drops Nashville to 10-13.
