Portland parlayed a decent outing from starter Chris Simon into a solid win over the Chesapeake Tailgators. The final score was 4-3. Portland reliever Chase Collins was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was John Gray. Chesapeake now is 10-12.

Felipe Hinojos was the walk-off hero for Portland. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Mad Ants left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
