Tailgators Win with Late Heroics
Chesapeake starter Nick Douglass pitched well against the Nashville Lasers at Tailgators Ballpark. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-3, in 11 innings. The winner was Donovan Mott in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Malcolm Freeman took the loss. The loss has the Lasers at 14-10.

Kevin Cimini delivered a run-scoring single in the bottom of the 11th to win it for the Tailgators. For the game, Cimini went 2-4 with a double and a walk.

"The game of baseball will test you," said Dave York, the Chesapeake skipper. "This one tested us."
