					| Fremont Carves Out 7-4 Win |
					| Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Fremont Marshalls and Nashville Lasers.
Due in large part to left fielder Tyler Lake, the Fremont Marshalls sunk the Nashville Lasers, 7-4. Lake was 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 times. Jeremiah Porter, now 1-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. Stuart Taylor earned the save, his 3rd, for the Marshalls.

Fremont used the timely hitting of Chris Quinton to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Marshalls on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"It all depends on which version of our team shows up," said Lake. "When we put it all together, I think we're a great team."

The Marshalls, now 13-7, have been red hot.
