Lasers Defeated, 6-3, After Hartford Rallies

The Hartford Matadors handed the Nashville Lasers a 6-3 defeat at Lasers Ballpark. Third Baseman Chris Davies starred for Hartford. He was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times. John Bickel came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record now stands at 2-0. The Matadors, now 14-6, have been red hot.
Had Jeff Duenas not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Duenas hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Matadors.
"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Davies.
