Lasers Shut Out Marshalls, 1-0

The Nashville Lasers went home winners at Lasers Ballpark, thanks in large part to starter Alex Avila. Avila stifled the Fremont Marshalls, enabling Nashville to grab the 1-0 win. Avila picked up the win for Nashville, going 6.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0. Losses have been few and far between for the Marshalls, now 14-5.
In the bottom of the first inning, third baseman Hector Landa had a solo home run for Nashville. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Lasers on top, 1-0.
"Alex did a good job mixing and matching," said Nashville manager Kenny McElhaney.
