The Chesapeake Tailgators had to overcome a fine effort from Laredo pitcher Felipe Moreno to win, 5-3, at Ghosts Ballpark. Moreno went 6.1 innings and allowed 1 run. John Gray closed the door for Chesapeake, picking up his 3rd save of the year. The loss drops the Ghosts to 8-10.

Chesapeake used a clutch hit from Kevin Cimini to get the win. The shortstop drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Tailgators ahead, 5-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Cimini called the win "a collective effort."
