Ghosts Pull Out Late-Game Win, 2-1
Wet weather did not postpone the Laredo-Chesapeake ballgame.

Ghosts first baseman Justin Solid left his mark on his team's 2-1 win over the Chesapeake Tailgators. Solid was 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Laredo in the contest. The win was credited to Justin Buchanan in relief. His record improves to 1-1. George Sisco took the loss.

Solid had a timely hit for Laredo in the bottom of the eighth. With Laredo trailing 1-0, he turned a full count fastball into a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season, making it 2-1, Laredo.

"We squandered some opportunities," said Chesapeake manager Dave York.

The Tailgators drop to 6-11 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2025 season.
