Emery slugs 2 home runs, Stampede Move to 11-6
|
The Lubbock Stampede defeated the Laredo Ghosts, 6-3. Doing his part was center fielder Danny Emery, who hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Paul Garcia closed the door for Lubbock, picking up his 8th save of the year. Lubbock goes to 11-6 with the win.
Emery had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 0-1 fastball from Jason Emary, he banged a 3-run home run to left-center, giving the Stampede a 6-3 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Emery.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Emery told the Lubbock Times.
