Justin Baker pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Quebec Aces, despite Baker's fine outing, dropped a 2-0 decision to the Lubbock Stampede at Belmont Park. The win puts Lubbock at 11-6.

The Stampede got a big at-bat from first baseman Aaron Foster. For the game, Foster was 1 for 4 with a home run. In the top of the second, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Lubbock a 1-0 lead.

Foster said his team "played with focus."
