Mounties Clip Earthquakes, 4-3, in WS Contest
Scott Lewandowski was not about to watch an opponent celebrate a championship on his home field.

The left-hander pitched the Moncton Mounties to victory at Mapleton Yards, staving off the Ft. Wayne Earthquakes, who remain one game away from a title. Lewandowski threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball. The win cuts the series deficit for the Mounties to 3-2 in the best-of-7 series.

Moncton got a knockout punch from David Williams. The shortstop hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the 13th inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

Moncton manager Johnny Hoffman commended his team for "banging out a nice win."

Game 6 is scheduled for Monday at Earthquakes Stadium in Ft. Wayne.
