Evans Blasts Earthquakes, Mounties Take Game 2, 10-3
Moncton first baseman Brian Evans was the difference-maker for the Mounties in what turned into a shootout with the Ft. Wayne Earthquakes. Evans earned accolades after going 1-for-2 in the 10-3 Mounties win. With the victory, the Mounties moved into a 1-1 tie in the best-of-7 series.

A key moment came with two out in the top of the third. That's when Evans hit a fastball from Willie Escalera for a 2-run home run, putting Moncton up, 3-0.

"This was a nice win for us," said Evans. "It's one more step toward our ultimate goal."

The next game is set to be played for Thursday, October 3rd , 2024 at Mapleton Yards in Moncton.
