Streaking Mad Ants Win Another One, 3-1
|
The Portland Mad Ants extended their winning streak.
In a low-scoring affair between the Portland Mad Ants and the Glendale Muskies, pitcher Jaheim Jennings was the difference between victory and defeat. The Portland right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-1 Mad Ants win. Jennings got the win, improving to 1-0. He gave up 4 hits and walked 4 over 7.2 innings. He allowed 1 run.
Portland used the timely hitting of Josh Kelly to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Mad Ants on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"I like the roll we're on," said Portland manager Will Berman.
The Muskies drop to 6-10, as their fitful start to the 2025 campaign continues.
