Lubbock registered a win at Reagor Dykes Stadium by beating the Baxter Springs Marshals, 5-4. Pitcher Rodney Caporn was one reason why the Stampede triumphed. Tony Gonzales, credited with the win in relief, is now 2-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. The Marshals fall to 8-10 and continue to sputter in the early going.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the tenth for Lubbock. That's when Aaron Foster hit a run-scoring double off 26-year old right-handed pitcher Salvatore Barajas to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

Foster said this kind of win gives the team "a buzz."
