The Hartford Matadors did just enough to sneak past the Montreal Canadiens, 2-1, at Ballpark of Tacoma. Hartford pitcher Kory Pullar, in particular, had a standout performance. Tony Morales claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record stands at 1-0. For the Canadiens, the loss makes them 7-11.

Jeff Duenas had a critical at-bat with one out in the bottom of the sixth for Hartford. He came through with a 2-run single to put Hartford in front, 2-1.
