The Ontario Sunrays used the hitting of third baseman Larry Casperson to subdue the Montgomery Missions, 11-7. For the game, Casperson went 2-3 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Drew Martin, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 8th save. The triumph makes Ontario 45-95.

In the top of the second, Casperson had a 2-run home run for Ontario. It was his 15th home run of the season and put the Sunrays on top, 2-0.
