Road Win Lifts Orono to 3-2 Lead in CS
With right-hander Mike Reich leading the charge, the Orono Oaks got past the Quebec Aces, 3-2, in extra innings in Game 5 of the League Championship Series. Reich threw 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball at Belmont Park as Orono managed to grab a 3-2 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Orono needed the clutch hitting of Julio Negron to seal the deal. The right fielder swatted a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Oaks on top, 3-2. For the game, Negron had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Negron said.

The next game is set to be played for Friday, October 9th , 2026 at University of Maine Stadium in Orono.
