Philadelphia Moves on to Championship Series
The Philadelphia Marauders are one step closer to the World Series.

The club prevailed 2-1 at Gladiators Ballpark tonight to eliminate the Phoenix Gladiators and advance to the Championship Series.

The Marauders won the series by a 4-1 margin, with right fielder and series MVP Art McDonald leading the way.

"I'm proud of all the guys," McDonald said. "This was a team effort, not just me."

The Philadelphia Marauders don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Halifax Heathens - Boston Whistlers series. Halifax leads the series 3 games to 2. The Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Divisional Series finishes.
