Urbanek Helps Orono Take League Championship Series Game 1
The stakes were high. D.J. Urbanek was ready.

The left-hander turned in a performance for the ages at University of Maine Stadium, pitching a 9-inning, complete-game shutout to lead the Orono Oaks to victory in Game 1 of the League Championship Series. Urbanek held the Quebec Aces to 3 hits and 1 walk, while striking out 2. The win got the best-of-7 series off to a good start for Orono, which now leads 1-0.

Urbanek delivered a quality start for Orono. The 6-foot-2 left-hander allowed no earned runs on 3 hits over 9 innings of work.

"I felt good. I felt like I was locating the ball well and I was able to keep them off-balance," said Urbanek.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at University of Maine Stadium in Orono.
