Raucous Ballpark of Tacoma Crowd Propels Matadors to 5-1 Victory; Series Tied at 3
The Hartford Matadors and the Baxter Springs Marshals will take the League Championship Series to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation, the Matadors beat the Marshals, 5-1, at Ballpark of Tacoma to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Hartford right-hander Vinny Padilla had a big role in the win. He threw 6.1 innings allowing 1 run.

Bubba Austin helped his team take an early lead with a 3-run home run. It came in the first inning, making the score 4-0, Matadors.

"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Padilla.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Ballpark of Tacoma in Hartford.
