Wildcard Game Game 1 Goes to Cincinnati, Thanks to Bloms
The Cincinnati Royals powered past the visiting Indianapolis Eagles, 12-2, in the opener of the Wildcard Game at The Castle. Cincinnati second baseman Jay Bloms went 4 for 5 with 2 home runs and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice, to lead the charge. The Royals now lead the series 1-0.

With two out in the bottom of the fourth, Rick Brown barreled up a fastball from Billy Westcott. The result was a 3-run home run, putting the Royals in front, 8-2.

Bloms told the Cincinnati Citizen: "I'm the straw that stirs the drink."

The next game is set to be played for Saturday, September 27th , 2025 at Eagles Stadium in Indianapolis.
