Riding the 3-hit performance of left fielder Danny Pierce, the Philadelphia Marauders got a road win against the Phoenix Gladiators, 9-6, in Game 3 of the Divisional Series. Pierce hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Marauders, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 3 games to 0.

Philadelphia won the game in part because of Art McDonald. The right fielder ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Marauders ahead, 8-6. For the game, McDonald had 1 double and 1 home run in 3 at-bats.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Pierce.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Gladiators Ballpark in Phoenix.
