Stampede Lose to Governors in Walk-Off
|
The Little Rock Governors got a hard-earned win over the Lubbock Stampede, 4-3, in 10 innings. Zach Williard provided some offensive muscle for Little Rock. He was 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Brian Norfolk picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Paul Garcia suffered the loss. With the loss, Lubbock sinks to 9-5.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With one out, Williard hit a cutter from Paul Garcia for a run-scoring single. The Governors, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Williard.
