Ren Goes Off, But Fighting Knights Win
|
Chih Ren did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Ontario Sunrays from being beaten, 7-4, to the Niskayuna Fighting Knights at Fighting Knights Field. Ren slugged 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. With the win, Niskayuna has a record of 65-71. Ontario falls to 42-94.
In the bottom of the fourth inning of a 1-1 tie, Niskayuna right fielder Tony Cruz reached on an error by the 2B, driving in 1 run. It broke the deadlock and put Niskayuna on top, 2-1.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Cruz.
