Medford Wins League Championship Series
ABA Class A- fans were certainly not disappointed with this Sub League 1 League Championship Series.

The two teams were evenly matched and the series went to the final game, with the Medford Desperados prevailing over the Little Rock Golden Gophers to advance to the World Series.

Medford won the final game by a score of 12-4 at Little Rock Grounds and that sealed the series 4-3.

"Things were tense in our clubhouse and dugout before and during this game, but we can let loose a bit now -- the hard work is over, for now," said left fielder Aaron Helgason, who earned MVP honors.

For the series, Helgason hit .469 with a .500 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, 6 RBI and scored 8 runs.

The Medford Desperados will play against the Santa Barbara Super Troopers in the next round. Santa Barbara won their series against the Sikeston Shamrocks 4 games to 0. The World Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.
