Matadors Pull Out Late-Game Win, 2-1
The Matadors faced a stiff challenge from Portland pitcher Bobby Villasenor, but persevered to claim a win at Mad Ants Ballpark. The final score was 2-1. Villasenor went 6.1 innings and allowed 1 run. Portland now has a record of 6-9.

Hartford used the timely hitting of Tony Perez to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Matadors on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Every loss hurts," said Portland manager Will Berman. "But this was a tough one."
