Golden Gophers Hammered by Griffith, Drop Game 4 to Desperados
On the verge of being swept and facing a red-hot Little Rock Golden Gophers team, the Medford Desperados had a tough assignment. Cody Griffith delivered.

The Desperados designated hitter was unstoppable for the visitors, as he was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 in guiding his club to its first victory of the series, 5-4. Griffith, 21, earned accolades for his efforts. The win means Medford now trails 3-1 in the best-of-7 series.

Medford shortstop Adam Davis helped the Desperados go up, 5-4, in the bottom of the seventh inning. With the game tied, Davis hit a run-scoring single off Little Rock pitcher Brad Martin.

"We've got a great group of guys," Griffith said, "and we're having fun right now."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Ballpark of Medford in Medford.
