Baumgardner, Miners Wallop Blue Jays in Game 6 of CS
The Glace Bay Miners and the St. Catharines Blue Jays will take the League Championship Series to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation, the Miners beat the Blue Jays, 9-1, at Miners Memorial Park to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Glace Bay designated hitter Mike Baumgardner was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once.

In the bottom of the first, Baumgardner had one of his most important at-bats: a 3-run home run off Jeremy Foss that staked the Miners to a 3-0 lead.

Said losing manager Nate Cato: "The list goes on and on of things we just flat out didn't do."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Miners Memorial Park in Glace Bay.
