Road Win Lifts Little Rock to 3-0 Lead in CS
|
Despite a great performance by Medford designated hitter Aaron Helgason, the Little Rock Golden Gophers defeated the Desperados by the score of 4-2 at Ballpark of Medford. Helgason went 3-3 with a triple, 2 singles, and a walk, but he could not prevent the Golden Gophers from moving one game closer to the World Series. Little Rock now leads the League Championship Series 3-0.
David Anast had a direct impact on the outcome. Anast contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Little Rock up, 3-2.
Anast called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Ballpark of Medford in Medford.
