Shamrocks Reel-In 6-2 Win Over Air Riders
|
The 6-2 Sikeston win over South Pasadena was due largely to Jayden Howard. The Shamrocks center fielder went 2 for 4 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The Shamrocks raised their record to 91-41.
With Sikeston leading 1-0 in the top of the third, Howard hit a 2-run single off South Pasadena hurler Carlos Abreu. It was the 95th hit of the season for Howard and put his team ahead, 3-0.
"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Howard told the Sikeston Today.
