Road Win Lifts Moncton to 2-1 Lead in CS
Riding the 4-hit performance of second baseman Aaron Nelson, the Moncton Mounties got a road win against the Whitby Bats, 9-6, in Game 3 of the League Championship Series. Nelson was 4-4 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 4 times for the Mounties, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 1.

Moncton used the timely hitting of Rich Miklavcic to capture the win. The designated hitter stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Mounties on top, 6-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but he made it count.

"We're on quite a roll right now," said Nelson.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Eláguila Stadia in Whitby.
