Pivotal Game 5 Goes to Host Aces, 4-3
The Quebec Aces moved to within one game of the League Championship Series, downing the visiting Hickory Crawdads at Belmont Park by a score of 4-3. Aces first baseman Pete Horne did some major damage. He went 2-3 with a double and a walk. The win gives the Aces a 3-2 advantage in the best-of-7 Division Series.

Ricardo de Leon drove in one run for Quebec. With one out and the game tied in the bottom of the eighth inning, de Leon had a clutch at-bat. Facing Hickory hurler Josh Reed, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Aces a 4-3 lead.

"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Horne. "You've got to get results."

Game 6 is scheduled for Wednesday at Crawdad Park in Hickory.
