The Hickory Crawdads got a strong performance from pitcher Matt Hartman, who stymied the visiting Quebec Aces en route to a win, 7-3, in Game 2 of the Division Series. The Aces could never get a bead on the right-handed Hartman, who threw 6.2 innings of 5-hit ball. The Crawdads now hold a 2-0 in the best-of-7 series.

In the bottom of the third, Hickory designated hitter Goh Ogata had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Ogata stroked a bases-clearing double to left. It made the score 3-0, Hickory. For the game, he went 2 for 4 with a double. He drove in 3 runs.

"There's nothing like the postseason," said Hartman, "to ramp up the pressure."

Game 3 is scheduled for Saturday at Belmont Park in Quebec City.
