Fight, Crawdads Take Dramatic Game 1 for 1-0 Series Lead
The Hickory Crawdads started the Division Series in dramatic fashion, stealing Game 1 from the Quebec Aces in a walk-off in the 10th inning. Hickory took the 2-1 win thanks in large part to a good day from starter Ray Fight. The right-hander threw 5.1 innings of 1-hit ball in the win, which gave the Crawdads a 1-0 lead to start the best-of-7 series.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Hickory third baseman Nate Roberts, facing Travis Espinoza, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Crawdads the 2-1 win.

"We're happy," Fight told reporters after the win. "When you're in the playoffs, you've got to treat every game like it could be your last."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Crawdad Park in Hickory.
