Nashville Tops Baxter Springs, 2-0, Claims 3-2 Series Lead
|
In a pivotal Game 5, the Nashville Lasers were hoping for a big game from starter Xavier Cooper. They got one.
The right-hander shut out the Baxter Springs Marshals, proving to be the difference-maker as he led his club to a 2-0 victory. The Lasers took the 2-0 win over the Baxter Springs Marshals to seize a 3-2 lead in the best-of-7 series.
Cooper allowed no runs on 1 hit over 8 innings for the Lasers. He walked 2 and struck out 6.
"You have to trust that what you're doing is going to produce results," said Cooper.
The next game is set to be played for Monday, September 22nd , 2025 at Lasers Ballpark in Nashville.
