Road Win Lifts El Paso to 1-0 Lead in DS
|
The El Paso Chupacabras powered past the hometown Hartford Matadors, 3-2, in the opener of the Division Series at Ballpark of Tacoma. El Paso starting pitcher Jason Seymour threw 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball, to lead the charge. The Chupacabras now lead the series 1-0.
With no one out in the top of the fourth, Chris McCullough put El Paso in front, 1-0, with a run-scoring single. The Chupacabras went on to win the ballgame.
"Jason had good stuff. When he did get into a compromising count, he made the most of it," said El Paso manager William Maysonet.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Ballpark of Tacoma in Hartford.
