Road Win Lifts Barrie to 1-0 Lead in DS
The Barrie Admirals powered past the hometown Mexico City Aztecs, 3-2, in the opener of the Division Series at Tony Gwynn Stadium. Barrie starting pitcher Edwardo Rodriguez threw 7.0 innings allowing 2 runs, to lead the charge. The Admirals now lead the series 1-0.

Barrie used a well-timed hit by Jimmy Rash to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Admirals ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"Edwardo was dictating to their hitters," said Barrie manager Manny Uset.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Tony Gwynn Stadium in Mexico City.
