6-4 Win for Niskayuna Over Montgomery
|
The Niskayuna Fighting Knights knocked off the Montgomery Missions, 6-4, in Sub League 2 action at Fighting Knights Field. Niskayuna pitcher and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, native Juan Bravo had an outstanding performance. The win went to Corneles Manolas in relief, making him now 4-6. Jon Chouinard took the loss for Montgomery. The Fighting Knights, at 58-63, inhabit last place in the Sub League 2 East Division.
Niskayuna took a 5-4 lead on Albert Garcia's 26th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Garcia hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Montgomery pitcher Jon Chouinard visibly frustrated.
"I feel like a little kid every time I put the uniform on," said Garcia.
