The Niskayuna Fighting Knights took on the Montgomery Missions at Fighting Knights Field.

The Niskayuna Fighting Knights had to overcome a big game from Montgomery right fielder Preston Hoffman to leave Fighting Knights Field with a victory. And they did, winning, 7-3. Hoffman was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. With the win, the Fighting Knights improved to 57-63.

Alex Marquez's at-bat in the bottom of the third inning was a big one for Niskayuna. Coming to bat with one out, the bases loaded and Niskayuna trailing 1-0, the designated hitter reached on an error by the SS, driving in 1 run.

"They had a good approach," Montgomery skipper Hoa Nguyen-Dinh said of the opposition. "Hats off to them."
