Breene Blasts Aztecs, Heroes Take Game 1, 7-3
The Pueblo Heroes started the Division Series in style, winning on the road against the Mexico City Aztecs at Tony Gwynn Stadium by a score of 7-3 to take an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Heroes designated hitter Eric Breene excelled. He went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3.

A key moment came with no one out in the top of the third. That's when Breene hit a changeup from Phil McIntosh for a run-scoring double, putting Pueblo up, 2-0.

"As soon as the season ends, I'm walking out of the clubhouse and leaving on vacation," Breene said. "Can't wait."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Tony Gwynn Stadium in Mexico City.
