Aces Best Muskies in Pitching Duel

Both teams had their chances, but the Quebec Aces eventually prevailed.
The Quebec Aces got a magnificent effort from pitcher Phil Dalton, who kept Glendale hitters in check en route to a 2-1 Aces win at Belmont Park. Dalton went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 6. His record improves to 3-0. Kevin Morris closed the door for Quebec, picking up his 3rd save of the year.
The Aces got an important contribution from right fielder Matt Bagby, who in the bottom of the third hit a first pitch fastball into right for a solo home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Aces ahead, 2-1.
"That's baseball," said Glendale manager Jermaine Allen. "You're not always going to be hitting on all cylinders."
Glendale is 4-8 after the defeat.
