Led by John Oglesby, the Quebec Aces defeated the Lubbock Stampede, 10-3. Oglesby went 3-4 with 2 home runs for the Aces. Victor Garza was the winner. Over 5.1 innings, he yielded 2 runs on 4 hits, with 1 walk and 5 strikeouts. Quebec goes to 6-4.

David Lovell had a big 3-run home run for the Aces in the bottom of the first inning. With Quebec leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a fastball from 25-year old right-handed pitcher Tim Covert and punished it. The result was his 2nd home run of the season, which put the Aces on top, 4-0.

"It was a solid team effort," said Oglesby after the game.
