The Quebec Aces got a rain-soaked win over the Portland Mad Ants.

The Quebec Aces stopped the Portland Mad Ants, 16-10, at Belmont Park. The Aces got a big game from Corey Pope, who was 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Diego Cortes, the winner, improved to 2-0. He held the Mad Ants to 6 runs on 5 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 2.

Steve Howard cracked a home run off Jake Haworth in the bottom of the fifth. His 3-run blast put the Aces on top, 8-5. In all, Howard had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
