Stampede Notch 7-5 Win Versus Matadors
The Lubbock Stampede defeated the Hartford Matadors, 7-5, in Stars Conference action at Reagor Dykes Stadium. Lubbock pitcher Juan Barron had a standout performance. The winner was Barron. He threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball. The loser was Mario Ruiz. Hartford, with the loss, is still a robust 5-2.

The fans who came to support the Stampede were pleased with the outcome. It was what they had hoped for when they passed through the turnstiles at Reagor Dykes Stadium.

"Juan attacked hitters and trusted his stuff," said Lubbock manager William Maysonet.
