Ghosts Suffer 5-2 Loss to Tailgators
|
Though the conditions were not ideal, the Chesapeake Tailgators and Laredo Ghosts came back from a rain delay to finish their game.
The Chesapeake Tailgators dealt the Laredo Ghosts a 5-2 loss at Ghosts Ballpark. Brad Raska was the star on offense. He was 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. The winner was Chesapeake reliever Corey Baker, now 1-1. The loser was Paul Reining.
Chesapeake used the timely hitting of Jeremy Aulenbach to capture the win. The catcher socked a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Tailgators ahead, 5-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
Said losing manager Josh Miller: "Obviously, we wished for a better outcome."
The loss lowers the Laredo record to 5-4.
